On computers and iPhones®/iPads®, we monitor private browsing! For Android™, we notify the ally if the member uses Private Browsing or Incognito Mode.

Android™

On Android™ devices, Covenant Eyes can’t monitor your activity when Incognito Mode is on. However, if a member uses Incognito Mode, we inform their ally:

  • Allies using the Victory app will see a note in the Summary section.
  • Allies using email reports will see an Unmonitored Screen Activity message on the report.

iPhone®

Coverage for Incognito Mode/Private Browsing depends on what browser you use on your iPhone®:

  • If you use Safari with Private Browsing on your iPhone®, we’ll still monitor your activity via our Safari extension.

  • We can't take screenshots for all other browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.) on iPhone®, but we will monitor the websites you access via VPN technology.

  • Our iPhone® app doubles as a browser and doesn’t have Incognito Mode.

  • For best protection, use Apple’s device controls, Screen Time, to limit browsers and protect our Safari extension from being uninstalled.

Mac® and Windows Computers

Our monitoring service, Screen Accountability, still randomly screen-captures and scans your screen for mature content when Incognito Mode is used on a computer.

Filtering & Blocking

Only any device, Incognito Mode will not disable your Blocking Level or Custom Website List.
