On Mac® computers running macOS® 10.15 Catalina or higher, Covenant Eyes needs access to “Screen Recording” in System Settings to screen-capture your activity.

Screen Recording

  • Screen Recording is a privacy setting on Mac® computers that allows programs (like Zoom and Covenant Eyes) to monitor and view your screen.
  • If Covenant Eyes doesn’t have access to Screen Recording on Mac®, an M062 error message may occur, and you’ll see a Service Interruption message as part of your activity in your email report or Victory app.

Turn on Screen Recording for Covenant Eyes

  1. From your Mac® desktop, click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your screen.
  2. Select “System Settings…”
  3. Select “Privacy & Security” and then “Screen Recording.”
  4. Next to “Covenant Eyes,” move the toggle switch to the right.
  5. Type in your Mac® administrator computer password (most likely the password you type to unlock your Mac® and access your computer profile).
  6. Click “Quit & Reopen.”
  7. Next to “Covenant Eyes,” the toggle switch should be blue. Please restart your Mac®, and the M062 error should be gone after the restart!
