Hello Jeremy.
Thanks for your question. That will depend on the device. If you are talking about Covenant Eyes on a Mac then we should absolutely be working within the Safari browser. If that is the case on a Mac then your Mac may be blocking a necessary network extension. I will include an article about how to install Covenant Eyes on Mac. Near the end of the article it walks you through how to allow that network extension. You can find that article here.
If you are instead talking about Covenant Eyes on an iPhone then I will say that our software is limited in what it can do outside of our own browser app per guidelines from Apple that we must abide by. Our software can track and report if someone goes to a highly mature domain within the Safari browser on iOS but Apple does not permit us to take screenshots or filter outside of the Covenant Eyes browser app. I will include a link to an article that discusses in more depth how the Covenant Eyes app works on iOS devices here.
You may also be interested in disabling the Safari app on the iPhone and setting Covenant Eyes as your default browser. I will also include links to the articles that walk you through that process here and here, respectively.
