CE for Mac is using a large portion of my memory

    Hello Kevin.

    Thanks for you question and I am sorry to hear about that. Installing Covenant Eyes onto a Mac should only use up about 71MB of space. The memory impact should be fairly minimal as well. If the Covenant Eyes program is using up a large portion of the Mac's memory then something is very likely not working correctly.

    I have a couple of quick questions. First, do you have any Mac Parental Controls enabled on that Mac. If so I might recommend disabling them to see if that reduces Memory usage. Also, do you use any third party anti viruses or cleaner programs? This is not as common on a Mac as it is on PC but those can sometimes impact the Memory as well if we are installed.

    I might recommend uninstalling, restarting the Mac, and then reinstalling fresh. I would also encourage you to call in to our Member Care Team for some more in depth troubleshooting and assistance. They can be reached at 989-720-8000.

    I was looking at what apps and processes were using a lot of the memory on Mac and noticed that Covenant Eyes is using 1.75GB of memory (RAM)

    That seems high

    Version 3.14.0 (0314.00.97)

    Thanks for reaching out, I am sorry you are experiencing that. That does sound abnormal, Covenant Eyes should not be using that much memory. We do have a few bugs causing this issue right now.
