iPhone app - battery usage

I've been noticing that my battery life on my iPhone is getting worse. My battery says it's in in need of service (77% capacity). But, I believe that Covenant Eyes is using more battery than it should. One thing I noticed when looking at the activity graph over the last day is that Covenant Eyes is active in the background _alot_ (2h 36 min on screen, but 12h 24 min background). I really love having covenant eyes on my phone but am wondering if the iOS team has any plans to look into battery usage and reduce background activity so that it avoids draining the battery so much.     Hello Jeremy.

    Thanks for your question. You bring up a great point. The nature of what our app does means that it is often running more than most other apps and can be more of a drain on battery life. That being said, my developers are continuously iterating on ways to make the app - on all platforms - more efficient and effective while minimizing battery drain. While I don't have anything to announce I will happily pass your request for a more efficient and less power intensive app on to my developers. It is certainly something that they are passionate about as well.
