A new covenant-friendly phone
Hi,
I have to change phone and I want one covenant friendly model...
In my old model, covenant continuosly went down and it was very easy to shut off with "force closing"...
What do you suggest for new phone, without these side effects?
Thanks

Lorenzo, good question. In my opinion, in depends on where you're at in your progress, and the extent of what you would like to limit. I've found good success with using an iPhone, and in my previous conversations with CE staff, they seemed to lean this way, for just the kind of problems you've run into, presumably on Android.
I have a Mac at my office, and I use Configurator to supervise the iPhone, which allows me to apply profiles that lock down the phone. Then I can't get into it and "finagle" it in a moment of weakness.
Having said that, there's always trade-offs. I lock-down in-app browsers, which works for some apps, but excludes others. There are ALWAYS trade-offs. That's because neither Apple nor Google care one bit whether you are hooked on porn or not (personal opinion, not necessarily that of CE or its employees :-)). So you will always be going across the grain of the philosophy of the makers of these device. Always.
On Android, it may be possible to lock down your device more usefully using an MDM, like Hexnode, alongside CE. In this case, a Samsung phone is definitely superior to others, due to Knox.
I'll stop here, but I'm happy to share more detail of any discoveries I've made along the way.
