Guest user on Mac

Connor J Harris

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to maneuver securely locking up the "guest user" on MacBooks? As the owner of my Macbook, I am the official "admin" and I have the power to allow the guest user to work. I tried set someone else's mac account as the admin on my computer, but they are just added as a second admin, rather than replacing my role.

I would like to get this fixed, but unsure how to do that well.

    Hello Connor,

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately those would all be Apple settings rather than Covenant Eyes settings on a Mac. To that end I am including two separate articles from Apple below. The first will explain how to delete a user on a Mac. That article can be found here. And the other article should explain, among other things, how to change the administrator on a Mac. That secondary article can be found here

I do hope these help and if you have any other questions or concerns please let us know. Thank you and have a great rest of your day.

    Hi,

This was not very helpful. Is there any way Covenant Eyes can stay enabled on the safari-only Guest User mode?

It's really easy to switch in and out of guest user mode and that completely disables CE. Very unsecure unfortunately.
