Is there a way to disable the configuration popups on the iOS app?
Hello,
Long story short, one of my accountability partner's phone has the iOS Covenant Eyes app and the VPN is constantly breaking the phone by losing connection. It has to be uninstalled and reinstalled several times a week, which is frustrating for several reasons (one of which is that he doesn't know how to do it).
We have a solution where he could simply use the app independently of the VPN (it our case, this works fine) and everything would be accounted for. However, the iOS app will frequently prompt the user with full screen messages if it cannot detect the VPN. Is there any work around to this? We really only need the app.
I would appreciate any advice!

Hello Luke,
Thanks for your question. I'm very sorry to hear about your friend's issue. That sounds frustrating. The software is designed in such a way that its going to want to allow the set up of the VPN and it will alert your friend that something is wrong until that is successfully set up. However, in this case I would actually recommend your friend contact us directly - whether by phone or through the Chat feature on our website.
We have an optional upgraded VPN that was designed to resolve many connection issues faced by our members who use iOS devices and I am hopeful that by switching over to this new VPN, your friend may be able to resolve their connection issue and forgo the need to disconnect the VPN. If or when your friend has a little free time I would encourage them to contact our Member Care Team in order to switch over to the new VPN to see if that resolves their issue in a more permanent and usable manner. They can be reached at 989-720-8000 or by accessing the Chat Feature of our website.
Thank you and have a great rest of your day.
You can also have him turn off notifications for the CE app. That’s has worked for me. I use CE for Safari, and I use Canopy and their VPN for the rest of the device.
