Intermittent Cellular Connectivity Interference
Device: iPhone 12 Pro Max
OS: iOS 17.2.1
Covenant Eyes version: 6.2.9
Problem:
#1: The data share will fail when the Macbook Pro is tethered to the iPhone to share cellular data, regardless of USB tether or mobile hotspot. Macbook Pro will intermittently lose data connection.
#2: The iPhone will show 2-4 signal bars at certain locations but has zero cellular data.
Details:
I had engaged with the carrier (Visible Wireless) support team to troubleshoot the issue. Visible attempted service plan upgrade to Premium and resetting the network profile but no improvement. Visible Support directed me to seek help from Apple Support. Apple Support diagnosed the issue and isolated to Covenant Eyes VPN interfering with wireless connection, whether it's cellular or Wifi.
I contacted Covenant Eyes and pending development investigation. I am advised to uninstall Covenant Eyes till a patch can be issued. No time is given on resolution.
Sharing this detail here so everyone can be aware of the defect.

Hello Richard,
Thanks for sharing your issue and some of the specifics here. I'm sorry you are experiencing that problem. It sounds frustrating. Normally I would suggest a few steps for troubleshooting but it sounds like you've already worked with our team in doing so. I'm sorry there isn't yet a working solution for you at this time.
Thank you.
Daniel, I am curious what troubleshooting steps you would apply in this scenario? The only step I was asked to try is to report the issue on my iPhone and submit the system metrics to your team. Nothing else beyond that.
Thank you.
I’m having this exact issue. I’m curious as to how it got resolved.
Hi Will, I am still experiencing the same issue though it appears to be intermittent these days. Would you be open to share your experience?
