Notification after every screen unlock

Matthew Cavender

Every time I unlock my screen I get the notifiation: COVENANT EYES Scanning activity for [username]. If I leave the notification on and the screen locks and is unlocked the time of the notification changes to the most recent unlock time. It does not appear to repeat while the screen remains unlocked. This is incredibly annoying. Is there a know fix for this?

    Hello Matthew,

I am sorry the persistent notification has been causing frustration. There is a way to disable that notification.

You will need to do this from your phone settings through this path: Settings> Apps> Covenant Eyes> Notifications> Notification categories - here you will need to toggle off Covenant Eyes Status.

I'm also seeing the exact same issue but on my Samsung Galaxy S23 phone. Whenever I unlock my phone, I get the "Scanning activity for [username]" notification.

    Covenant Eyes Version: 6.2.2
    OneUI Version: 6.1
    Android Version: 14
Last System Update: March 17th, 2025

I attempted to follow the steps listed in this solution but when I get to "Notifications", I don't have any "Notification categories" section. Any help on how to hide/remove the status notification would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello Jeffrey,

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing that issue as well. If you don't have an option within notifications on that Samsung Galaxy S23 Phone I would recommend checking in two additional places within Notifications within the Settings App - Advanced Settings and App Notifications. One of those two should have the option you are looking for to stop those persistent notifications.

    Hello Daniel,

Those two options weren't able to solve it for me but I figured out to locate the notification category in order to hide it. I had to go into Settings -> Notifications -> Advanced settings -> Notification history -> Press and hold the Covenant Eyes status notification. That opened up the notification setting for Covenant Eyes Status which I wasn't able to access in any other way. From there I was able to hide the notification which is exactly what I was looking for!

    Thank you for your help!

    Jeffrey
