Some search engines (like Google, Bing, and Yahoo!) have an optional safety feature called SafeSearch. SafeSearch will attempt to pre-filter your search and web results.
Enforcing SafeSearch
If your username has filtering, Covenant Eyes will automatically leverage SafeSearch by turning it on and locking it. You cannot turn SafeSearch off if your username has filtering.
SafeSearch Limitations
SafeSearch has some limitations:
- SafeSearch isn't perfect and doesn't guarantee that every search and web result will be 100% clean.
- "Clean results" may vary depending on your search engine because each search engine has a different definition for inappropriate (violent, pornographic, etc.) content.
- Some search engines don't offer SafeSearch.
