Incognito Mode will not disable your Blocking Level or Custom Website List on any device.

On computers and iPhones®/iPads®, we monitor Private Browsing! On Android™, some browsers allow us to capture screenshots while you're using Incognito Mode/Private Browsing, and some do not.

Android™

  • If we cannot capture screenshots while you’re using Incognito Mode/Private Browsing on Android™, your screenshots may say "Screenshot Unavailable," and you will receive an Unmonitored Activity Session message in the Activity Feed.

  • If we can capture screenshots while you're using Incognito Mode/Private Browsing, your screenshots will appear normally in the Activity Feed, and you will not receive an Unmonitored Activity Session message.

iPhone®

Coverage for Incognito Mode/Private Browsing depends on what browser you use on your iPhone®:

  • If you use Safari with Private Browsing on your iPhone®, we’ll still monitor your activity via our Safari extension.

  • We can't take screenshots for all other browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.) on iPhone®, but we will monitor the websites you access via VPN technology.

  • For best protection, use Apple’s device controls, Screen Time. The Limit Adult Content setting in Screen Time safeguards our Safari® extension from being uninstalled, removes the Private Browsing option in Safari®, and prevents the member from clearing browsing history in Safari®.

Mac® and Windows Computers

Our monitoring service, Screen Accountability, still randomly screen-captures and scans your screen for mature content when Incognito Mode is used on a computer.
