How do I change my Mac®'s name?

Before You Begin

• About Naming Your Mac®: Victory Shield™ lists your device in your email Check-in or the Victory app by its manufacturer name or model (e.g., MacBook Pro). You can name your device (e.g., John’s MacBook Pro) so it’s easier to identify.
   
• macOS®: This article will show how to change a Mac® computer's name with the newest Mac® operating system, macOS® Tahoe 26. If you have an older macOS®, refer to Apple's support article.

Name Your Mac®

1. Login to the Mac® Administrator profile on your Mac®.
    
2. Select the Apple icon from the top left-hand corner and select “System Settings.”
3. Select "General" and then "Name."
4. Type the new name into the “Name” field at the top of the screen, and the computer will automatically save the new name.
