If parents haven't set up Family Sharing, refer to Apple's support article to do so and then return to this article to set up Screen Time. Alternatively, you can set up Screen Time directly on the child's device without Family Sharing.

Apple allows families to share subscriptions, music, and more with Family Sharing! With Family Sharing, parents can set parental controls on their kids' devices with Screen Time.

  1. The parent should open the Settings app on their iPhone® or iPad®.
