How do I turn off Screen Time's Content & Privacy Restrictions on an iPhone®?

Before You Begin


  • About Screen Time: Longtime Members may have set up Screen Time, Apple's free device controls for iPhone and iPad, to protect Covenant Eyes from being uninstalled.

  • Uninstall Covenant Eyes: To uninstall Covenant Eyes and restore apps (like Safari® and the App Store®), you may need to turn off Screen Time's Content & Privacy Restrictions.

Turn Off Content & Privacy Restrictions


  1. Open the Settings app on the iPhone® or iPad®.

  2. Tap “Screen Time.”

  3. Tap "Content & Privacy Restrictions."

  4. Move the "Content & Privacy" toggle switch to the left to turn it off (the switch will turn white). If prompted, enter your Screen Time Passcode.

    If you forget the Screen Time Passcode, Covenant Eyes cannot help reset it. Please refer to Apple's support article to reset it.
