Set Safari® as your default browser and turn on the Covenant Eyes Safari® extension to fix the "Oops! Something went wrong setting up the Safari® extension" error message.
If you just updated to version 7, you can try turning the extension off and back on. This week, we noticed some upgraders getting the Oops! message and that simple step worked for many of them. If it does not resolve the issue, please use the information below to cover the typical items that can cause the Oops! message to appear.
Set Safari® as the Default Browser
- If you have iOS® (iPhone® operating system) 15.1 or newer, set and use Safari® as your default browser so we can screen-capture your activity with our new Safari® extension.

Turn on the Covenant Eyes Safari® Extension
- The Covenant Eyes Safari® extension allows us to screen-capture your activity in the Safari® app.
- You must manually turn on the Covenant Eyes Safari® extension in the iPhone® Settings app.

When turning on the Covenant Eyes Safari® extension, set the Covenant Eyes Safari® extension Websites setting to "Allow" (shown as steps #6 and #7 in the Safari® extension article).
