How do I turn on and lock down the Victory Shield™ Safari® extension on an iPhone®?

To turn on the Victory Shield™ Safari® extension, open the Settings app, tap "Apps," tap "Safari," tap "Extensions," tap "Victory Shield," and move the "Allow Extension" toggle switch to the right to turn it on (the switch will turn green). Then use Apple's Screen Time settings to lock down the extension.

Before You Begin


Part One: Turn on the Victory Shield™ Safari® Extension


  1. Open the Settings app on the iPhone® or iPad®.

  2. Scroll all the way down and tap “Apps.”

  4. Scroll down and tap “Extensions.”

  5. Tap “Victory Shield™.”

  6. Move the "Allow Extension" toggle switch to the right to turn it on. After, an "Allow in Private Browsing" option will appear. Move the "Allow in Private Browsing" toggle switch to the right to turn it on (both switches will turn green).

    The "Allow in Private Browsing" option appears only on iPhones with iOS 17 and newer. If you don't have iOS 17 or newer, you won't see the option.

  7. Tap “All Websites.”

  8. Tap “Allow.” Great job! You turned on the Victory Shield™ Safari® extension.

    Do not delete the Victory Shield™ app from your iPhone®. The Victory Shield™ app must remain on your device to run the Victory Shield™ Safari® extension.

Part Two: Lockdown the Safari® Extension


You must use Apple’s device controls, Screen Time, and its Limit Adult Content feature so the user can’t turn off our Safari® extension.
