How do I add a Filter Guardian?

Before You Begin

• Only Account Admins (Admins) can invite a Filter Guardian (Guardian) with a unique Guardian link via text message.
  
  
• Admins can also invite Guardians for members on their accounts. To see how, read How does an Account Admin add an ally or Filter Guardian for a member?
  
  
• The Guardian can accept the invitation by signing in with their existing username and password (if they have one) or by creating a free username and password.
  
  
• After the new Guardian accepts the invitation, you can remove yourself as your own Guardian.

Add a Filter Guardian

1. Open the Victory app on your phone or tablet and enter your username and password to sign in.
   
2. Tap "Accountability."
   
3. Scroll down, enter the person's first & last name, tap the box next to "My guardian," and then tap the blue "Invite an ally" button. 
   
4. The phone automatically opens a screen with different apps (Messages, Mail, etc.). Tap the app you want to use to invite your Guardian. For this article, we'll send the invite via the Messages app (the iPhone® texting app).
   
5. The unique Guardian link will appear in the text message field. In the To: field near the top of the screen, enter the Guardian's contact information if it is saved in your phone or type in their phone number, and then send the text. 
   
   
6. Great! You invited a Guardian. The new Guardian's name will appear with the word "pending" on the account list in the Victory app. The new Guardian must accept your invitation to start reviewing your activity.
